How to play
Secret roles. The Leader ⭐ is known to all. Loyalists 🛡️ protect the Leader. Rebels 🔥 want the Leader out. The Rogue 🎭 wants to be the last one left. Only you know your own role.
❤ = hearts. Lose them all and you are sent home through time. Your role is shown then.
Your turn: draw 2 cards, play as many as you like, then discard down to your ❤ count.
Zing! hits a player in your reach. They lose 1 ❤ unless they play Dodge!. Only one Zing! per turn.
Distance is the number of seats between you, the short way round. Your reach starts at 1. Reach cards (Pamphlet, Newspaper, Telegraph, Radio) let you zing farther.
Blue cards stay in front of you: Knight's Armor, Great Wall, Spyglass, reach cards. You can't have two of the same.
"Draw!" checks: some cards make you flip the top card. Its suit decides. ♥ gets you out of Exile or dodges with Armor.
Sending a Rebel home earns 3 cards. If the Leader sends a Loyalist home, the Leader loses all their cards.
Guess roles. Tap ❓ under any hidden player to mark the role you suspect and how sure you are: Hunch ●○○, Likely ●●○ or Sure ●●●. When their role is revealed you see ✓ or ✗, and the end screen scores your reads.
Every figure has a special power. Hover (or tap) any card or player to read it, plus a real history fact.
House rule: with 4 or 6 players the Leader gets 2 extra ❤ instead of 1. This keeps the sides even.
