100 prisoners are lined up, numbered 1 to 100. They all want to escape.
Each prisoner has two goals, in order: (1) Stay ALIVE, (2) Be FREE. Freedom matters — but not more than life. The guard has exactly 1 bullet and makes a single announcement before anyone moves.
